Mijn verblijf was 2 nachten in het hoogte resort Monte Marcella om het resort te testen. De hoogte kamers werken erg goed en voelt hetzelfde als boven op een berg van +2000m, waar je zelf de temperatuur kan instellen. De rust in de omgeving en combinatie van de goede locatie voor de voorjaarsklassiekers is ook een erge pluspunt en ik hoop hier vaker te komen voor een hoogte stage of verlenging ervan.

Monte Marcella Resort is an absolute gem for athletes and active travelers! The rooms are amazing, featuring AC and an altitude meter, making the stay both comfortable and matching an experience alike staying in a mountain resort. The 25m infinity pool offers incredibly smooth swims, while the Hypoxic gym provides a unique fitness experience that I highly recommend for anyone wanting to test training at altitude.

For relaxation, the resort boasts vast common areas, including a fun game room with billiard and darts, and wellness options like a sauna, steam room, infrared chamber, and resting loungers. A well-equipped onsite kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals, and the proximity to grocery stores is a bonus.

This resort was the perfect starting point for cycling and running across the beautiful Flanders region. Highly recommended for cyclists and triathletes looking to explore the iconic routes whilst savoring a bit of luxury and relaxation!

Monte Marcella is truly the crown jewel of cycling in Flanders. I had the privilege of staying at this remarkable facility for a triathlon training camp, and it exceeded all expectations. The unique combination of sea-level training and sleeping at over 2000m altitude provided an unparalleled environment for intense training and recovery.

The on-site 25m pool was a fantastic addition, offering a convenient option for swim training. The fully equipped cardio and weights gyms were an eye-opener, allowing for rigorous workouts at altitude, which is a game-changer for endurance athletes. The ice bath provided the perfect recovery after grueling cycling sessions, helping to prepare for the next phase of training.

All the communal areas were bright, open, and spacious, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The chill-out games room was an excellent place to unwind between sessions, adding a perfect balance of relaxation to the intense training schedule.

I cannot recommend Monte Marcella highly enough for anyone serious about cycling or triathlon training, recovery, and adaptation. It's a top-tier facility that offers everything an athlete could need.

Monte Marcella Hoogteresort in West-Vlaanderen is een absolute parel in de regio! Het resort combineert luxe en comfort met een ongeëvenaarde rust midden in de natuur. Het uitzicht over de omliggende landschappen is werkelijk adembenemend, en je voelt je meteen ontspannen vanaf het moment dat je aankomt. De kamers zijn stijlvol en ruim, met alle moderne voorzieningen die je nodig hebt voor een zorgeloos verblijf.

Mijn verblijf in het nieuwe resort Monte Marcella was een onvergetelijke ervaring. Vanaf het moment dat ik arriveerde, was ik onder de indruk van de elegante inrichting.

Een van de grootste troeven van Monte Marcella is het sportzwembad. Het zwembad is ruim, perfect onderhouden en een ideaal trainingsbad.

Mijn kamer op instelbare hoogte was gelegen op een hogere verdieping, wat zorgde voor een adembenemend panorama over de omgeving. De slaapkamer was stijlvol ingericht met aandacht voor detail en voorzien van alle moderne gemakken. Het bed was buitengewoon comfortabel en de ideale plek om tot rust te komen.

Een unieke faciliteit van Monte Marcella is de cinema op hoogte. Het is een geweldige ervaring om een film te bekijken.

Daarnaast beschikt het resort over een sportzaal op hoogte. De sportzaal is uitgerust met de nieuwste apparatuur en de serene omgeving maakt het een plezier om te trainen.

Kortom, mijn verblijf in Monte Marcella was geweldig. Het resort combineert luxe en comfort met unieke faciliteiten en een ongeëvenaard uitzicht. Zeer aanbevolen voor iedereen die in alle rust wil trainen om zich voor te bereiden op hun sportdoel.

Has everything you could think of for an altitude training hotel. A cinema at altitude, Sauna, Steam room, Massage beds, Ice baths and even a fully heated pool to relax or train at!! Located perfectly within Belgium only being a 20k cycle away from most of the famous Belgian climbs in flanders and even the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix! Would highly recommend to anyone interested in training in Belgium with or without the effects of altitude. Will be back again!

The most amazing Altitude Resort. Located in the heart of iconic Belgium rides including the Flandrian Challenge, this is the perfect location for a triathlon or cycling training camp. Rooms all at altitude, temp controlled lap pool, gym, ice baths, massage room, sauna, roomy and light dining and socialising areas. Fully equipped professional kitchen, loads of parking and laundry facilities. Team support car available with professional soigneur. Very friendly and accommodating owner! Top quality, we had the best time, can’t wait to return!!
