Bergs & Cobbles Cycling Travel - Ghent

I spent a long time online looking from the United States for a cycling travel company to bike the Tour of Flanders routes. After quite a bit of research, I came across “Bergs & Cobbles”, and they were absolutely fantastic!

I received a quick reply from Ken and over several months emailed back and forth to build a personalized itinerary for our group of eight riders. He arranged a wonderful hotel in Ghent and all the bicycles. The bicycles were top-notch carbon bikes with outstanding components.

The guided rides were incredible, with a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb the Koppenberg and other bucket list hills. All of us were thrilled with Ken’s outstanding organization, detailed advice, and cheerful demeanor. This is the best cycling guiding vacation we have ever had, and we give Bergs & Cobbles our highest recommendation!

Ken and his team do a great job with these tours. The transportation is great, all food and hydration needs are tended to. The routes and pace are perfect and it's hard to beat the scenery and history of Flanders. If you think you may want to cycle in Flanders, do it and use Bergs & Cobbles!

Ken organises everything for you. The routes are excellent, as is his company. He managed to choose 3 routes that were perfect for both a committed racing cyclist as well as his novice wife on an e-bike. I honestly didn't think this was achievable. Thanks once again and I am sure we will be back next year.

We enjoyed the 6-day cycling through Flanders, and now consider it one of our favourite trips! The accommodations were great, the route was interesting and appropriately challenging (per the description), and Ken was very good at communicating and offering support while we were cycling.

Not only did he tell us to stop at a brewery/restaurant that featured the best beer in the world, he was very responsive when we had several unlucky flat tires and needed some information to help us continue our cycling. He quickly coordinated with one bike shop to ensure they would assist (as we found some shops were not willing to help as they were booked with other customers)
so we wouldn’t be left stranded and wondering how to get to our next hotel.

Would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see Belgium and enjoy a bit of history and beer while there!

Great personalised self-guided cycling tour around Flanders. Included highlights of the Tour de Flanders, with bergs and cobbles, setting off from Oudenaarde - and then the WW1 battlefields and breweries around Ypres. Great accommodation in both locations. Ken tailored the experience to exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend.

We did a 3 day guided tour in Flanders with Ken and it was brilliant. Excellent route selection and clear direction when out on the bikes. We gave Ken a good idea as to where we were at cycling wise and he matched the routes to that but always with flexibility. The selection of hotel was fabulous and great recommendations for restaurants/bars and sights. Bike hire through Ken is super easy too, with the bike being dropped off at the hotel. Thoroughly recommend Bergs and Cobbles.

There are so many good things to say about Bergs and Cobbles and its owner, Ken Roubedou, it’s hard to know where to start. He personally leads the rides so you can be assured the person you’re communicating with will be the person on a bike next to you for whatever tour you arrange. Ken has the perfect touch when it comes to creating routes, knowing where to stop on the ride, and which iconic points to highlight. My brother and I did four days on the bike with Ken and it could not have been more perfect- for pro cycling fans he will take you up The Muur, Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg, Koppenberg and on and on. Ken also arranged for rental bikes (I rode a Specialized Aethos!) and he works with one of the best hotels in Ghent. Again, can’t say enough good things about Bergs and Cobbles. We will for sure be back to ride with Ken. 10/10
